Cooking is a HUGE part of my life. I could have a whole other blog based entirely on the trials and tribulations I experience in the kitchen on an almost daily basis. Trouble is, it probably wouldn't be all that interesting. :) However, I would like to share with you all, from time to time, a few of my favorite and more health-conscious recipes. Of course, I'll surely break down every once in a while and give you a beer-review, a restaurant review or share some discoveries of one of my life's passions: food science!!

BEER REVIEWS
I've been meaning to do these FOREVER. I love love LOVE trying new beer. The majority of my college beer-drinking experiences took place at the best bar in the world - Ashley's. With 50+ rotating beer-labels on tap at any given time, it would be a shame if I couldn't find something new and interesting to try. Unfortunately, while having a reputably experienced beer-palette, I have a very inexperienced beer-reviewing vocabulary. Bear with me as be we both stumble through!:

About This Blog

In September of 2009 I completed my first triathlon. This blog was started to keep track of all the things I learned from that day forward so that I can try harder, work harder and train smarter in all aspects of swim/bike/run... but never taking it (or myself) too seriously along the way.

You don't seem to find many blogs that follow the lesser athlete through their early racing experiences, so maybe this can eventually be something that a few people out there stumble upon and can relate to, while the more experienced athletes could perhaps offer some advice, guidance or just poke fun at me for some of the ridiculous things I am sure to do.
